Meet Our Team

CC Couch, President

CC Couch is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and animal lover. She has toured in France and sings and records in several languages, including French, Spanish, German and Latin. She and Lovie shared a very special relationship with a bond forged by their love of animals. Through her last will and testament, Lovie charged CC and Steve Bard with the responsibility of furthering her legacy of love for animals beyond her life. Together, CC, Steve and Alice Crafts brought Lovie's vision to reality with the formation of Lovie's Legacy.

Tammy Ruff, Board Member

Tammy Ruff, an Associate Professor of Psychology, has spent the last 21 years at Nashville State Community College (NSCC). She did her undergraduate work at Belmont University and graduate studies at Vanderbilt University and Middle Tennessee State University. Her expertise in the field and her passion for teaching have won her much praise including the Outstanding Instructor of the Year, Arts and Sciences, at NSCC. During her career she has served in a variety of leadership positions such as the President of the Middle Tennessee Counseling Association, Faculty Senate Chair at NSCC, President of the NSCC chapter of the American Association of University Professors, and member of the NSCC Executive Committee. She holds membership in the American Psychological Association and is honored to serve on the Board of the Lisa Ross Parker Foundation. Two of her greatest joys are Fritz and Jack, her feline companions who always manage to keep life interesting

Alice Crafts, Secretary/Treasurer

Alice Crafts owns her own accounting firm, Alice Crafts, CPA, LLC.  Prior to that, she worked at both local and regional CPA firms in Tennessee. She serves on the Business Management Advisory Committee at Nashville State Community College and is a member of the AICPA and the TSCPA. Philanthropic activities include serving as the Director of Outreach Ministries for a local church. While serving in that capacity, the church renovated apartments for the Renewal House (a rehabilitation center for mothers with drug addictions); participated in the Room in the Inn (providing food and shelter to the homeless during the winter months); collected food for the Second Harvest Food Bank; and provided Christmas packages and visitation to patients of Comprehensive Care. Alice is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Lisa Ross Parker Foundation, a charitable organization that provides support for families touched by cancer and assists animal welfare organizations. She is a former Treasurer and Board Member for the Middle Tennessee Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Alice will benefit our foundation through a combination of business and charitable experience.
